Hi my name is Coach Schoch and I am very excited to be teaching Health & Physical Education here at Mint Hill Middle School. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in a small community in Michigan, located just outside Ann Arbor, Michigan. My hometown of Clinton, population of around 2000; is known for it's farmland, Michigan International Speedway, it's many lakes, and the most fanatical fan's that have ever rooted for their hometown team. I attended college at Eastern Michigan University where I was a scholarship athlete on the Eagles Volleyball team. Following my graduation from EMU I worked in many different roles within the school system, as well as coached volleyball at different levels. In 2014, I received my Master's Degree in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University. This is my 1st year teaching PE & Health at MHMS and I am looking forward to a wonderful year.
My family and I moved to North Carolina in 2014 so my husband, Pete, could pursue his dream of coaching college basketball at Pfeiffer University. We settled in Matthews in 2015 and have thoroughly enjoyed our new home and this grand adventure. I am the mother of four children; Andrew 22, Aaron 20, Noah, 18, and Gabi 8. I love sports; watching sports, playing sports - pretty much everything about sports - especially volleyball! We are also huge University of Michigan fans - GO BLUE!!
